Glass Bead Blasting
The Glass Bead Blasting process removes surface deposits and contaminants by applying fine glass beads at varying degrees of pressure without damaging the surface. This can be done in either a blast cabinet, basket blast machine, or our blast room.
Glass beads do not remove any of the base metal or imbed the surface. It will produce a better, more uniform finish, adding a bit of sheen or brightness to the part.
Often used for more decorative finishes.
Depending on the coarseness of the media used, masking may not be required.
